My new love. It's absolutely amazing -- I may even love it more than being a member of a CSA. I'm pining now, because I had an obligation this Saturday and could not go. Last week's haul: cream and butter, chicken legs and thighs, eggs, Asian cukes, plus, apricots, peaches, cherries (red and yellowish), zucchini, string beans, wax beans, bell peppers, chard, big red onion/scallion things, very sincere homemade scones, herbed lemonade, iced coffee, espresso roast beans, potatoes, corn, pork shoulder, rosemary plant, cut fresh flowers... and maybe something else I can't remember. All extremely fresh and wonderful. Goats and lambs to pet, banjos to dance to (well, the little kids did) and chickens to admire. If only thr blacktop weren't so hot.

Gush, gush, rhapsodize -- I will be crushed when the growing season is over and I have to make due with Whole Foods, the Wayne Farners' Market and whatever else I can cobble together. *Sigh*
