Finally Pho downtown. I just had it and can say they nailed the broth and it was really good. Don't expect the huge portions in a bowl you get at Vietnamese restaraunts but the portion is perfectly sized at $7. Don't expect authenticity either. Instead of Vietnamese meatballs he uses Italian meatballs. I actually applaud this, as the regular Vietnamese tendon meatballs are flavorless. The broth also has lemongrass and ginger added. The owner is a nice guy and passionate about good food.
