The Philiadelphia Connection - Cheesesteaks - Pasadena/Monrovia

Does anyone know what ever became of The Philadelphia Connection?

As we all know, it's nearly impossible to find good, AUTHENTIC Philly cheesesteaks here in LA, particularly in the San Fernando Valley. I've been to South Street many times, not a fan at all - WAY overpriced and lousy food. I love the Philly's Best chain in Orange County, but its's a bit of a drive from Studio City.

I had been going to The Philadelphia Connection, a fun little family-owned spot in a mini-mall in Pasadena on Arroyo for a few years. It was terrific. (Fresh Amoroso rolls, Goldberg Peanut Chews, Tasty Cakes, the whole nine yards).

They were doing very well and moved to a more upscale, higher-profile neighborhood in old-town Monrovia, right across the street from the multi-plex theatres. I went there a few times, it wasn't as good, as the original location, but was great for a cheesesteak fix.

Went by one day and they were closed. Does anyone know if they've re-surfaced anywhere - maybe under another name? I really do miss knowing it's around.

Thanks.
