Someone suggested adding Pesce to the Seafood category on the SF Visitor Tip Sheet. Searching the board, I only found one review and it was negative.
I won't be adding restaurants that are mentioned once, but I looked on Citysearch and this restuarant seems to get a big thumbs up. The few negative reviews seem to have to do with nits like reservation mix ups.
The reason I looked it up in the first place is that there are so few good seafood places in the city. So forget the visitors. Is this place any good? What have you had there?
And would you send a visitor there? There are a few neighborhoods that I have that are, to me, iffy. I really don't believe the average 2,3,4 perfect day in SF types would go there. I'd say these are Upper Fillmore, Chestnut Street (Marina) and Union Street. However, they don't require a big cab ride to get there, so I've left some of these in. I know the Haight isn't exactly downtown, but I know when I first visited here, I HAD to go see it.
Anyway, what's the word on Pesce? Scroll down on the review, there's more than one sentence.
