Persian Markets?

chibi | Jul 28, 2002 11:24 PM

Inspired by Limsterfest at Alborz (and re-inspired after reading about the Ciaohound family's visit), I bought a Persian cookbook. I've been trying not to drool while poring through the pages and pages of mouthwatering photos. I'm ready to try making something now, but the question is: where can I find a Persian market to get ingredients such as advieh, dried limes and barberries?
My book recommends the following:

Royal Food Market
1602 Washington Blvd.
Fremont

Farm Fresh Persian Grocery
10021 S. Blaney Ave.
Cupertino

United Food Market
1965 Foxworthy Ave.
San Jose

Anyone know if this list is current? I've also read posts on this board referring to an unnamed place in Berkeley on College & Ashby, and to Rose Market. Is there any place in San Francisco? Many thanks to all.
