I finally made it to Perdix even tho it's just a 3 min walk from my house. I have to say I was a little let down after all the wonderful reviews here and elsewhere. It was fine but not great. My friend got cod and I had the pork chop ($20 and $19), both didn't seem to come with the advertised sides. She was supposed to have some black rice which we didn't see and I was looking forward to the tomato risotto but had a super mashed thing that looked like squash but tasted a bit of tomato. If it was risotto, it had zero consistency. Maybe they switched things around but I'm a big fan of sides and sometimes choose based on what comes with the entree. Plus they serve all meals in a big bowl which made it difficult to get at certain things. Like my pork which was hard to cut even tho it obviously wasn't overcooked (still pink). The sauce and wilted greens were good. Her cod had a tasty crust to it and she liked the Belgian beer they had on special ($7). I had an excellent warm gingerbread cake w/ vanilla ice cream for $7. The room and service were nice but for similar food, price and cozy atmosphere, I'll go over to Central Sq. to Salts.
