Peppino's in the beach--follow up

A few months ago I emailed an inquiry regarding this restaurant at 2343 Queen E. We decided to go on Saturday night as we had a Gift Cert. from our real estate agent.

It was very good. It wasn't overly busy, maybe about 1/2 full at 8:30 at night. I get the feeling most places in this part of town are busier when the weather is nicer.

The service was excellent. I had the Ostrich, a special for that night, plus the 1/2 dozen oysters. Hubby had the tuna tartare (excellent), and the seafood mixed grill (which changes). The food was wonderfully prepared, very nice and very very good service.

The ostrich was amazing and a pleasant surprise. Medium rare, very tender and flavourful. I was glad the server convinced me to try, and i got the last one.

Dinner for two including a bottle of decent pinot grigio and coffees (no desert) 159 plus tip.

We would definately go back for a special occaision and would recommend for people looking for something special in the east.
