Pepolino - quick review

rrems | Feb 27, 2008 07:46 PM

Had dinner at Pepolino tonight after being tempted by various mentions on this board. I am very happy to say it did not disappoint. We had half orders of gnocchi and fettuccini with rabbit, and then the wild boar with olives and polenta, and the meatballs. Everything was excellent, with the gnocchi being the highlight. Really nice wine list. Good selections under $40 but we opted for a super-Tuscan 2003 for $44 which was great. It was surprisingly quiet, the atmosphere is somewhat rustic, service was excellent. A bit pricey but worth it. We will definitely return.
