Penrose Sausages: a guilty Southern pleasure

I'm not sure if these are available outside the South. Little, snappy sausages pickled in a hot vinegar brine. I had to give them up because my mouth would hurt for days after eating too many of them, not so much from the spice, which is moderate, but from the strong vinegar flavor, which I found strangely addictive. Also, I'm trying to eliminate mechanically separated meat from my diet.;) Anyway, if you like food with a kick, try these.
