Pena Pancha rip off

what the | Feb 28, 2005 02:35 PM

Hi just wanted to let everyone know. We read a review for the restaurant Pena Pancha Mama. The review in the San Fran chronicle stated that there was a dish served with Yucca fries and lamb. This must have been a special because it sure was not on the menu. They claimed tapas which would lead one to believe they are Spanish Tapas, which they are not. The food is bland to randomly tasty take your chances. They also have a flamenco show which once again would leave you to believe it is Spanish. But once again it is not. They serve mojitos, not Peruvian and also with less than mediocre rum. They also don't have a liquor licsense so the rum is not of standard. Here is the quicker, they charge you an 11 dollar per person "listning fee for the show" that you dont know about until after you get the bill than in this very dark resturaunt they have you look at the fine print on the menu to back up their claim. Very dissapointing.
