Went to Pearson's last night (Monday) to see for myself if the criticism was warranted.
Arrived at 6:30 pm, slightly early to meet my friend who was coming at 6:45 pm.
Guess what? Place was closed, no lights, no sign of life, etc. The store hours posted on the storefront merely said that it was open every day with hours posted that I do not recall.
Was there a sign on the door noting some last minute emergency that would prevent opening? Some Board of Health notice of closing?
In the time that I waited for my friend (thankfully, the picnic tables in front of the place supplied some comfortable seating), about 30 folks came by, some similarly situated waiting for their dinner companions.
This may turn out to be the best 'cue place in the world but it will not get my business.
p.s. We walked over to Wu Liang Ye on 86th Street and had a great Szechuan meal, a rarity these days.
