pearlina on columbus ave, SF

A new tea place opened up last week, located on Columbus near Pacific Ave, at the border between the Financial District and North Beach. It is a specialty tea place, serving tea, coffee, baked goods, and tapioca pearl teas. I am still looking for good tapioca drinks in this neighborhood, so I tried the green tea bubble tea, $3.25, 20 oz.

The tapiocas were good - not too small and the right texture. The tea itself was bad. For a tea shop displaying multiple canisters of loose leaf tea, there is no reason why the drink should be made with powdered tea. What I got was sea green colored milk with a hint of green tea flavor.

On the upside:
I am guessing the taro bubble tea tastes better, since the taro drinks are made with powder almost everywhere.
Also, the people that work there seem nice and speak english well.
I really like the decor.
Perhaps the hot teas are good.

So far in my search for good tapioca drinks, I have tried:
One Sweet World, Grant x Broadway (too watery, not sweet enough)
Ten Ren, Grant (on the sweet side, selection small)
Sweet City, Powell x Jackson (just okay tapiocas)
If anyone knows of other places to try, let me know.
