Pearl Oyster has closed. In its place is a new Mexican restaurant, that has huge selection of margaritas (sp?). Think new restaurant is called something like Mexicals. Surprised to see PO closed so quickly, had some good reviews on this board. We had gone when it first opened, food was good but very pricey for the quality (IMHO).
Went to Bocados and couldnt agree more with other posters who have loved both the tapas and the energy. The "tasting" selection for wines is a great idea. We were a fairly large group and so I sampled a wide variety. Most were really outstanding - esp the raw tuna, and fried oysters (a special that night). Oysters were not greasy at all, nice thin, crisp batter and the oysters themselves melted in your mouth -- yummm. Several tapas were prepared with sauces -- impressed that sauces were all different, applied with a very light touch, and highlighted the flavors of the dishes perfectly. Will definitely return when we are in the area again.
