I'm looking for a romantic birthday restaurant. We've done Il Piato, Sala, Ginos, Bombay Cricket Club, Bewon, Fratelli, Seratto, Cafe Mingo and the sort...we're a midrange couple, and even for the "big" meals aren't able to spend over $100 (including a bottle of Vino and tip). I've heard good things about Winterborne. We both love seafood, bold flavors, asian food and so on. We were lucky enough to be treated to a meal at Babbo last week while in NYC, and thus are doubious about trying Italian for a while (lest it mute the still-resonating flavors.) Any opinions about Winterborne? Any other suggestions?
