I'm not sure where to post this but I know it as a Chicago thing. Jewel Foods has recently started carrying puff pastry imported from Austria and it is wonderful. Find it next to refrigerated pie crust and biscuits, a long thin tan paper package---brand name is Wewalka. Comes rolled in its own sheet of parchment, for baking. It comes out crisp and tender and does not leave you with a mouthful of cold Crisco. Today I cut it into small squares, glazed with an egg wash, baked, and topped it with custard and strawberries for a Deconstructed Napoleon. My neighbor (who introduced me to it) used it to top a chicken pie. Happy recommendation.
