Pastrami sandwich at Max restaurant in Sherman Oaks

With pastrami a favorite topic on this board in many a venue, have I got a surprise for you.
Andre Guerrero of Max in Sherman Oaks has a pastrami sandwich on panini bread that I dare you not to like. He makes the pastrami himself in the restaurant, and it is so moist, tender, flavorful(meaning peppery among many other things), and he serves it for lunch for only $9.50 including a mixed greens salad and his air-dried Belgian Fries - talk about a lunch! Too bad I was with clients today, or I would have had a glass of red wine with it. Others had the Ahi Towers as well as the bento box - all still great lunch values. In fact a bento box was ordered to go by an employee of one of my guests - she remembered it from her previous visit.
