Pasta Recs in Murray Hill/Kips Bay?

Hi all. My dilemma living around E30th is that although there are many restaurants around, they are all mediocre at best. Pasta-wise we've been unable to find anything good. Forget Sotto Cinque. I posted earlier how bad our pasta was there. Went to Trattoria Alba, nothing to go back for either.

Any opinions on Pasticcio, Tre Pomodori, etc. I mean GOOD pasta. Not watered down, bland, blahness.

The best pasta we've had in the city has been @ Lupa - especially the Bucatini all' Amatriciana. I know people are sick of hearing about the Mario Empire, but his pasta is great - cooked right and simple; the accompanying sauces are always flavorful and prefectly seasoned. The second best pasta I had was a Ragu @ Frank's in the EV. The pasta and sauce were excellent, and there was so much sausage it kicked my behind.

I know we're picky since we're cooks ourselves, but it's not hard to make simple food taste good, and that's all we ask for. ;)
