This morning's stack of emails included an announcement that Pasta Pomodoro was being reintroduced to the Bay Area for delivery via Caviar or Doordash. Some may remember this local chain, founded by Adriano Paganini in 1994, sold by him in 2010, and then closed abruptly in 2016. https://www.chowhound.com/post/pasta-...
The Pasta Pomodoro rebirth is under the umbrella of Back of the House restaurant group (A Mano, Delarosa, Beretta, et al), owned by Paganini so it should be the real deal. It is live on Caviar with a menu, prices and a pick-up address of 661 Divisadero in San Francisco. https://www.trycaviar.com/store/pasta... That's where the now-closed Barvale was located and is currently the pop-up second location for Beretta pizzas.
Here's a link to the ordering page on Doordash, https://www.doordash.com/business/pas... . I've tried various addresses in San Francisco this morning and again now, and it's not available for delivery in the City at this point from Doordash.
Those who were fans of the original Pasta Pomodoro, what were your favorite dishes?
