Which pasta?

We'll be hosting some friends for a small dinner in a few weeks, and I plan to make a rich, meaty ragu bolognese - final recipe not decided yet, but there are lots of choices. The question has become - what size/shape pasta is best with that kind of sauce? There's a wonderful Italian grocery store in our area, so there are lots of choices.
