Pasta - Is this too much?

I saw a recipe online, and have been trying to think of a way to 'jazz' it up a bit. I was thinking about making a pasta sauce with prosciutto, carmalized onions, goat cheese, and tomatoes. Would that combo be a)good and b) not 'too' over the top.
