Park Ave in Stanton... Dinner this time (review)

We sat in the front room this time because the back room is being remodeled due to rain damage. I LOVED the colors of the back room--hope they don't change it!

The front room is more sultry, which isn't so great when you are with two small (albeit quiet) children!

Anyway, I tried their Cabbage Soup, which was fantastic! (I don't even like cabbage.)

The Roasted Apple Butter served with the bread was unusual and very tasty.

We had a couple of martinis--only $6.50 each!

Best dish of the night:

Grilled Skirt Steak Salad.
Marinated with maple, soy, molasses and ginger. Topped with chopped lettuce, tomato, red onion and vinaigrette ($13.95). It sounds so simple, but it is the best salad I have ever tasted. I wish I had ordered it!

I ordered Surf & Turf ($15.95).
The shrimp with herb pesto were great, and the beef was tender. The red wine sauce just didn't have enough flavor IMO. It was served with scallion potatoes topped with cheese and sauteed green beans.

The service was very good. We had desserts--inexpensive and tasty.

I really love this place and am glad to it nearby!

(Park Ave is on Beach Blvd just south of Katella)
