New to Paris Restaurants - Long List - Please advise!

My husband and I (both 30) will be in Paris at the end of May. We have done a lot of research and would like opinions and advice on the following:

Le Lavoisier Hotel vs. Francois 1er Hotel (both in the 8th) - rooms, centrality, etc.

Restaurants:

Please provide advice regarding whether or not to go for lunch or dinner, type of crowd (touristy, young/fun, older crowd/quiet, romantic) and any other notes you deem important to mention.
