Paris restaurant - Le Domaine de Lintillac

Recently back from a brief sojourn to Paris where I’d thoroughly recommend lovers of hearty rustic fare pay a visit to Le Domaine de Lintillac, quite near the opera. It was mentioned in passing in the Observer Food Monthly mag a few issues ago and turned out to be a tip worth following up.

The food is traditional, artery busting, Périgourdine, with everything sourced from farms and vineyards in south western France. Lots of different types of foie gras and pâtés to start with (there are toasters on each table so you can toast your own bread), and mains of magret de canard, cassoulets, and the like. I also liked the touch of being trusted enough not to pinch their emminently nickable Laguiole dinner knives.

Aside from being the best meal I had while I was there it was also the cheapest – 3 courses, coffee, and a nice bottle of Cahors came in at a shade over 300FF for two. Bargain. It can be found at:
