I have just made my reservations for a trip to Paris in January and want to hear any views if you think I have especially good/bad choices. We are staying in St Germain, near Notre Dame and while I dont mind travelling for good food, given that we are in Paris, I reckoned we shouldnt have to travel all that far..........
1. Friday night - Chez Rene - I'm hoping it's a good traditional bistro with simple yet good food and a good wine list
2. Saturday night - L'Atelier Joel Robuchon - I know/think we cant make reservations here and maybe Saturday night isnt the best night to have dinner but not in any big rush and it sounds like the restaurant is worth waiting for
3. L'Orangerie on Ile St Louis - for no other reason than we found this place a few years ago and every time we go to Paris we have dinner here on one night and have never been let down. My only concern is that it seems to have changed hands so I hope it will be as good as we remember
4. Lunch at Jules Verne Eiffel Tower - just to have lunch there! The restaurant also sounds good. One query - we have a flight from CDG at 16.10 and need to be there at 15.10 - will a 12.30 lunch allow us time to go back to our hotel in St Germain and still make the airport on time?
Looking forward to hearing any views/advice!?
