I'm in Paris at the end of May for 9 days. I'm getting my itenerary in order, reservations have been made at restaurants that I've researched on the board. I am wondering if there is something within two hours drive that is not too be missed, or even, highly recommended - were I to make a day trip.
I'm not thinking along the lines of a picnic at a Chateau, rather not-too-distant wineries, restaurants or frommageries (tours/tastings). Perhaps I can try a Michelin rated restaurant (for lunch) more affordably with a moderate drive. What about Reims?
Mrs. Jacob will be attending a medical conference and I may find myself with an entourage of company spouses who are agreeable to venturing out into the countryside.
Your advice might be to avoid the hassle of renting a car and driving and stay in Paris - and that's ok, too.
