I will be traveling to Paris with my boyfriend for 6 days. As a result we need 6 restaurants for dinner and lunch, a handful of bakeries and pastry shops, a few cafes with very good very traditional coffee and a slew of bars.
Here is the catch, my boyfriend, who is a very kind, fun and intelligent individual happens to hate all things that can be described as "stuffy." He has exceptional albeit particular taste and tends to appreciate quirky, quaint, speakeasy (if that is even possible), modern/ industrial.... I'd really like to him to have a great time on the trip. I know he would like to experience Paris as it is, but I think he would also love to find restaurants and bars that have a similar feel to some of the neighborhoods and spots we love in other cities. We are in our early 30's and have lived in SOMA and the Mission in SF, DUMBO in Brooklyn, and currently are in Los Feliz in Los Angeles. Some of our favorite restaurants in La include: Son of a Gun, Hatfields, Barbrix, Sotto, Mozza. In SF/ Nor Cal: Ad Hoc, Townhall, Commonwealth, El Farolito, Delphina In NY:aApizz, Vinegar hill house, diner, the breslin
A good selection of options in terms of price, dress, and location would be fantastic, although we will be staying Montmarte and would imagine getting at least a little dressed up for dinner at and intend to spend between $25-40 for an entree most nights- sometimes more, sometimes a little less if possible.
Many thanks in advance for your posts and recommendations. Happy Holidays!
