I have been poring over related posts and there are mind-boggling lists of suggestions. I am lost in trying to match my budget with each and every suggestion (have tried it!), so here is my cry for help.
This is a trip for the first time, we love flavour-packed food (look forward to French food, the boulangeries and patisseries), we are from India, and it would be a once-in-a-lifetime trip for my parents, who are senior citizens (hence, the urgent research, rather than playing it by the ear).
We have scope for three dinners and two lunches. It would be beyond helpful if you could point out some places which you might have liked and was within 25 euro a person (Chartier is one of the traditional ones, have heard). One expensive meal, say up to 50 euro a person, can be fitted in. Hope nice meals in these ranges are not a distant dream in Paris...?
We are at Rue Tronchet, but will be spending time in the Louvre, d'Orsay (if I can help it), the Eiffel, Montmarte, Le Marais, and the 5th arrondisement, and Versailles, if possible. So, restaurants around our sightseeing spots, would be great. I have read Parnassien's response to an earlier post, detailed with places around touristy spots, but am not sure of the budget...
We won't be eating out for all the meals (5 major ones as mentioned, besides breakfast and snacks), falling back on microwavable Picard or quickly-cooked pulao now and then. If we are lucky to find a good boulangerie nearby, it would be godsend.
Thank you for taking the time to go through my questions.
