I've been invited to go on a business trip to Paris in early July. Our hosts are at a large French insurer and I've been told they are usually the ones recommending restaurants - but with mixed success. I'm now considering suggesting a restaurant myself.
I'm looking for a good, classic, relatively upscale, but not overly expensive, and preferably not Michelin-rated place. I prefer the Left bank, but will consider other areas too.
So far, I've put the following restaurants on my list, based on CH recommends and my own research.
Au bon accueil Paris
Les Climats (nice terrace)
L'Auberge Brassane (would love the chicken but maybe not a good place for July?)
Benoit / Allard
I'm in a bit of a bind because personally I'd choose something very classy and classic, but I know my co worker is more adventurous and would be interested in something like La Condesa.
What would you recommend? Am I missing something obvious?
Also, there might be another chance for me to dine out while there, and then I'm looking at Bistrot Chez France or Le Bon Georges. Any preference, opinions?
