Par Boiling Fresh Corn Kernels for Chowder

All,

Flushed with fresh corn I'd like to freeze corn kernels for later use in a chowder.

How does one par boil corn prior to freezing?

My idea is to Freeze the corn kernels with the chicken stock, (made with the corn cobs), then to use this as a base for my chowder.
