Panna Cotta vs. Blancmange

The current issue of Gourmet has a spread on Jefferson. It features a recipe for blancmange which I have heard of but never tasted. It looked very similiar to many panna cotta recipes I have made.

Can anyone tell me how the texture compares?

The Blancmange is more elaborate and includes whipped cream rather than unwhipped cream.
