Panic buying has begun in my area. Grocery stores in my area are crazy and empty

I know this had been going on in other areas of the country but I went to Stop & Shop and Trader Joes and was stunned by how empty the entire stores were. I had never seen anything like it. Usually during potential hurricanes or snow storms while the stores may get insanely busy, it's usually the fun stuff that goes -- cookies, chips, cold cereal, milk, eggs, bread, those types of foods but this was nothing like I'd never seen. Produce aisles bare, water completely bare, etc. My Trader Joes was completely empty of almost the entire store, it was disturbing.

What about you?

Today was the first time I also saw people, while not many, starting to wear masks and gloves.
