Pancetta Question

I just rolled 14 pancettas, and they're hanging to dry for a few months.

Usually, I tie them up and then use a thin paper (the butcher calls it a veil), but I ran out. I used wax paper instead.

Anyone know if this is a bad idea, or should I just return to the butcher, get more paper, and rewrap them?
