Well, I suppose I should have listened to the words of caution about Pamplemousse. Since a friend was so keen to go, I thought- whats the harm?
Nice place, we got to the restaurant about an hour before our reservation and thought we'd hang out at the bar and grab a drink. I requested a glass of wine, and the bartender filled it about a 1/4 of the glass. Not that I'm cheap, but for a $12 glass of wine, it should be at least 1/2 full! Our 8:30 reservation was seated at 9pm, and the staff was very cordial and nice.
Appetizers were great; we were a party of three so we got to try everything. Braised rib raviolis were wonderful, salad was dressed just right and the soup was divine!
Entrees, the burger was good, but really, just a very juicy burger. The chicken was seasoned well, but dry and the salmon was over seasoned and dry.
Desserts- Creme brulee trio was average, and the chocoalte torte was wonderful (wish i liked chocolate more) the pear tarte tartin was great, but was a little too syrupy.
Guess I should learn to listen better!
