"Palomino", The New Fells Point Taco Truck

Hon | Mar 27, 2006 08:07 AM

I couldn't resist checking out the new taco truck so I stopped there instead on making my way to Tortilleria. They have tacos, tamales (but they weren't offering them this past Saturday), tortas, burritos and quesdillas. The truck is brand spankin; new, the people are very friendly. I ordered 2 Carnitas tacos and 1 Chicken taco since they didn't have tamales. Got my food, got back to my car, grabbed a Carnitas taco and took a big bite, I was starving. I was greeted by a giant blob of fat, I opened the taco to see what was what and to put salsa and squeeze lemon on it (they don't do lime). It had maybe 2 pieces of roasted pork, the rest was blobs of fat and big chunks of tongue. This was definately NOT what I wanted. The other one was the same way. I just ate the chicken taco, which was tasty but not on par with Tortilleria. On the plus side, people were getting these quesidillas that looked amazing, if I ever go back I think I'll try that...
