Paging Allende for San Cassiano advice

fress | May 24, 201708:59 AM

My wife and I are looking forward to our first visit to San Cassiano next month, after years of reading Allende's enticing posts about the area. We will be staying at the Rosa Alpina for four nights and plan to eat one night there, probably at the less formal Grill. We don't want to venture too far from San Cassiano at night so based on past reviews, we also plan to dine at Andrea's at the Gran Anders, Pre da Costa, and the Hotel La Perla in Corvara. We also will lunch at a rifugio - probably Bloch, since that seems to be your favorite.

Do you still endorse those choices as an introduction to the area's eating scene?
Any others we should consider? I know that you were less enthusiastic about Murin at La Perla in 2015; would you recommend an alternative restaurant at the hotel? We plan to hike every day; besides Bloch, what are your preferred rifugios? Are reservations necessary at these restaurants?

Thank you in advance for your advice. I will post upon our return...
