Paderno World Cuisine Tri-Blade Spiral Vegetable Slicer, fka The Spirooli

ninrn | Apr 12, 2014 10:33 AM

I tried reviving a general thread on spiral cutters a few days ago, but noone has responded, so I thought I'd see if anyone responds to a more specific thread.

I'm thinking of getting one of these Paderno spiral cutters and wondered if any Chowhounds have one and could tell me how it's working for you: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000... .

We make zucchini noodles fairly often, and it seems like a machine like this would save a great deal of time and make better noodles. I'd love to know how durable they are and how they work on harder vegetables like carrot, jicama, potato, beets, butternut squash and so on.

Also, are do they make better, more noodly vegetable threads than something like the Zyliss julienne peeler? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001...

Thanks for your help,
ninrn
