Ozone Park / Howard Beach Pizza Comments

Our slowly-moving Pizza crawl through Queens continued with a few more slice joints from the Ozone Park area. All slices are "plain cheese"

1) New Park Pizza (Cross Bay Blvd, S. of Belt parkway)... this slice is very bland... nice ingredients but just no remarkable flavor.

2) Gino's (Cross Bay Blvd, S. of Belt Parkway)... we liked this more than New Park... quite nice actually. Tasty, non-pasty sauce. Low-med grease level. A problem with cheese adhesion. Moves on in the taste-off.

3) D'Aleo's (Jamaica Blvd. West of Woodhaven)... nice tasty slice. Not quite as much topping as Gino's. Good flavor. Cheese adheres nicely. Somewhat lower grease, not that that is a big issue. Moves on.

Also tasted for 2nd time were the incredible slices at Scibelli's at the Ronkonkoma LIRR station (near Islip Airport)...some of the best slices anywhere in the Greater NYC metro area... see comments on Tristate board.
