My husband, daughter and I had wonderful meals at Overture (byo) last Thursday. It was, as described on the board, beautifully decorated, with trompe l'oiel draperies painted on the walls, fresh flowers, etc. The waiter was attentive, helpful, not intrusive. We ordered two prix fixe meals and one a la carte. Everyone was pleased with his or her choices; apps ranged from a delightful shrimp scampi, to a luscious thick crab bisque finished with scotch (of all things), to a fresh anchovie starter. Waiter advised that I not get a salad to go with the anchovies, as they were topping mixed greens. Salads came with prix fixe and were scarfed down by my hgusband and daughter with no offers to share, then on to entrees which included a signature pork dish (wonderful), a tender and well cooked filet in pinot noir sauce, and Australian rack of lamb (they also had baby rack and waiter was able to describe differences between the two sufficiently that my husband knew exactly which one he wanted). Followed by great desserts which I only got a bite of: something (cake?) double chocolate, a pecan pie (bourbon?), a cheesecake (ricotta?). Details are escaping me now. We will surely return. It was a Thursday evening (7:30 reservations) and we shared the place with maybe 3 other tables over the course of the evening.
