Sunday I was driving from some errands and had a steak craving...didn't feel like cooking. I had been to Outback a few times in Florida and it was ok, so that's where I stopped in the Baltimore area. It was about 2pm, so very UNcrowded. I sat in the bar. The waitress was wonderful...I like meat very rare, and was considering ordering a sampler platter...she told me that it was all slow roasted. Tasty, but not rare. I ordered a glass of Ecco Domani Pino Grigio (not a favorite, but ok) and it came in a separate jug...a good pour. She brought over a small loaf of yummy bread and butter, and took my order. I ordered the Outback special 9 oz center cut sirloin, rare. I got the green beans and garlic mashed potatos. The steak came out PERFECTLY done, and delicious. The beans were very skinny, cooked crisp tender, and the potatoes were delicious. I have seen other comments on this board that everything was too salty, but it was not for me, and I am not a salt eater. I told the waitress how good everything was, and she said maybe that is why her location won so many awards! So I guess there is something different about each location...but this one was certainly delicious! Not gourmet perhaps, but a very good choice when you're in the mood for steak!
