I just found this place last week and it is so good. It's in a very non-descript shopping center on the corner of Shiloh and 14th in Plano. It has some very colorfully painted windows on the outside and I really wasn't expecting much when I went in to eat.
However once I was inside I was really surprised. First they bring you two kinds of salsa, one was a very chunky traditional red salsa with tomatoes, onions and lots of cilantro and the second with a green salsa that was very spicy.
They also bring you a cup of borracho beans with the chips and salsa I think these are some of the best borracho beans I have ever had. You can tell they were stewed with pork and onions for a long time, great flavor.
There are a lot of seafood options on the menu, it is predominately seafood options however I chose from the tex mex side. I had two been enchiladas with queso on top, rice and beans and a taco ($6.25). The taco was made with a homemade shell which is hard to find anymore. I was delighted with all of it.
The food just tastes very fresh. This was my second trip there in the last week because I wanted to make sure I wasn't just there on a great day last week, both times the food has been very good.
There seafood options are a little pricey for the surrounding neighborhood so I hope they can hang in there because the food is delicious. Plus you would expect to pay a little more for fresh seafood in my opinion. Lots of people were eating the different seafood soups around me which were in big bowls and came with a side of rice and some toasted bread ($10).
If you are looking for something different than the usual I would definitley recommend this place.
