First new orleans Pizza

MEL | Jul 26, 200409:48 AM     7

OK, need some help on settling this. What was the first place in New Orleans to serve pizza? My friend says it was a place called Dominoe's ( no relation to the chain) located on St. Charles and Girard. Started in the thirties. i disagree and say that pizza must have been here before the thirties. This whole thing came about with us watching a TV show last night where they talked about pizza in new York, Chicago etc. I just have to think that it was around the New Orleans area before that time. Any help is good.
