I wrote last week asking about Sunday brunch in San Jose. Well, we didn't exactly have brunch, but ended up at Original Joe's. Started out with a great, spicy Bloody Mary from scratch, with an antipasto salad for one (that the two of us didn't finish) and a cup of minestrone soup. I had the special lunch of the day, lasagna, that came with a side of mixed vegetables (that even included lima beans!). Nice crusty bread on the side. I took most of the lasagna home on the plane, along with the antipasto and bread and it was great for dinner. My friend had the crab salad, which was fresh, but not very inspired.
It wasn't spectacular, but it was very good. It's a great looking place (even the bathroom is pretty!), the prices are fairly reasonable and it was fun. Definitely a chowish adventure.
Thanks for the replies...
