so my boss has asked me to find some good eats for a biz meeting this coming monday. there will be 15 people at the meeting. our office is in chelsea around 14th st & 8th ave. i've been asked to keep it inexpensive, yet she wants something more interesting than the usual boring deli sandwich platters we always get.
i was going to get 15 lunch specials from SPICE, which she loved, but i'm afraid they can't handle it. i spoke with them, but they didn't seem to excited to help us out. they don't start cooking until 11:30am, and we really need the food by 12pm.
i'd like to keep expenses under $200. beverages will be provided by the office so don't need to include them in the costs.
right now our best option is ordering chicken, rice & beans, & salad from La Taza de Oro. they quoted me at $100 for 15 people. this sounds like a decent idea, but i figured i'd give a shout out to my chowhounds to see if you could come up with something more interesting.
