Had a fabulous dinner here on Friday evening. Called last minute for a table at 9. Got there, ordered some champagne at the bar as we waited for our table. Were seated at about 9:30...champagne was on the house because of the wait. Nice touch.

Service, food, ambiance and wine list were amazing. I had sauteed wild mushrooms with teardrop tomoatoes to start, my husband had tuna "caviar", both were wonderful but I especially liked my husband's which had little pancakes and sour cream with it to spread the caviar on. Main courses were also excpetional. I had Nunavut caribou loin (cooked rare) which was delicious...perfectly gamey and so tender. Husband had rack of lamb from Quebec (cooked medium rare) which was also incredibly tender and tasty (very mild compared to the caribou though!). Portions were huge too.

Had a Spanish Priorat (Cims de Porrera) wine with dinner, also very nice. The wine list is at least a hundred pages so plenty to choose from.

Had cheese plate for dessert, nicely presented with fruit, nuts and toasts, however my only complaint was the Brie de Meaux was a overripe and crusty on the edges, not runny as it should be.

Overall, a very pleaseant surprise and I will be back for sure.
