Tried Options in Rockville last night after reading its review in the Washington Post weekend section.
Trendier than I prefer for the all-out feast that is Korean food. All our dishes were excellent -- especially the seafood/kimchi pahjun -- but the service was abyssmal.
Half-walls divide the place into smaller dining sections, and I hope it was just coincidence, but they put us in the back with another anglo group that was just on its way out. We sat alone while the other two or three sections were hopping with Koreans. They got attentive service; we were almost entirely ignored. Never got any plates for our entree or large shared soup until flagging a waiter down and asking; drinks were never refreshed; and after a long, long wait before asking for the bill, no one ever came back to retrieve it.
It looks like a fun place to be on the right weekend night, and it's open very late, but I'll probably go somewhere else next time I feel like Korean.
