Need opinions on high end eats

Limster | Aug 7, 200106:58 PM     14

I'm planning to take my parents out to dinner a couple of times when they come in late Sep/early Oct, and I'm pulling all the stops. Especially since they'll be paying. :)

Right now I have Fleur de Lys and the Restaurant at Chez Panisse on my list, but need to make up my mind about a third place.

I'm still trying to decide between Gary Danko, Fifth Floor and Elizabeth Daniel. (Already been to Aqua for lunch and ate some of Siegel's cooking at Charles Nob Hill before he moved to Masa's, so I'm ruling out those.)

Firstly, are there any other places I should be thinking about?

Secondly, foodwise how would people rank them (less emphasis on wine as my parents don't drink very much)?

Thirdly, I'm for diversity/variety, and how similar foodwise are these places to Chez Panisse and Fleur de Lys?

Thank you!
