Restaurants & Bars 1

Am going to be in NYC for a week. We like "scene" restaurants, but also want the food to be good. Could not find much discussion on Ono or Kittichai. I have a reservation at both but I am now second guessing my choices. What are your thoughts on these two places? Any "must" have dishes or should I avoid these places? Any other "hot" new restaurants. We come to NYC 5 times a year and have been to Spice Market, Lever House, Town, Asiate, Babbo, Eleven Madison, Balthazar, Union Square, Mercer Kitchen, Nobu, Aquaviva, Tao. We are looking to try some new places. Money is not an issue, but we do not like French food or formal settings. Thanks!!!
