omakase in seattle

The choices are daunting. I read many recommendations for Shiro's, but then I read elsewhere that they've become very expensive. Less mentioned on this board but often praised elsewhere are Nishino, Saito, Toyoda, Shiki, Taka, Chiso, and Hiroshi. After much research, it's easy to guess that Seattle is chock-a-block with quality sushi joints, the least of which are the several I mentioned above. For me--a future visitor to Seattle--I would like to know what the consensus is on one or two places where I could happily seat myself at the bar and fearlessly announce "Omakase, please!" I'm all for quality, and there's nothing I've had that has put me off--I've had the likes of uni straight from the carcass, shrimp pulled live out of its shell, and giant clam that still squirmed. I even like natto.

So, let me know if Shiro's is still the place to go, or if there's someplace more worthwhile. Your recommendations will be appreciated.
