My BF and I have decided to have our first Omakase meal to celebrate his birthday next week! I've read through the many many threads about good Sushi bars and I think I've decided on Tama Sushi since it's not crazy expensive and supposedly the chef is nice :)
Now that I have the restaurant picked out, can someone please teach me about any etiquette that I should know about concerning my meal? Do I tell the waitress that I want to order "omakase" or do I tell the sushi chef? And, I think I read before that I'm not supposed to dip any sushi in soy sauce/wasabi unless otherwise told by the chef, correct? Any other do's and don'ts of this type of meal?
