After many years of hearing about Olive & Gourmando I finally had lunch there yesterday.
Being lunch hour the place was packed with people eating in and doing take out.
We had two Cuban sandwiches, one small chick pea salad, two espresso and brownies $45
The quality of the food was excellent, but having to line up and wait for everything killed me, I thought I was at the airport.
We waited 15 mins for a table, which I am fine with as it is lunch hour.
Once you get your table you then have to get up to go stand in another line to order your food.
Then you go back sit down and they bring you the food to your table.
For dessert we wanted one of their famous Valhrona brownies & espresso, so we had to get up and wait in line for that.
Then once we were finally finished we had to wait in line to pay!
I know I may sound like a prima donna but that is just too many lines for me.
That said it doesn’t seem to bother many people as they were doing great business and the quality of the food brings people back..
